Dům Nad Řekou is a unique family guesthouse in the heart of historic Znojmo, which offers you not only comfortable facilities, but also unforgettable experiences, views of the river Dyje and the beautiful landscape of the National Park Podyjí, privacy, peace and comfort.
When we bought the house in 2018, we planned to make it a cozy home for our family. But for its size, we finally decided to lovingly transform it into a family-style accommodation that would be meet our requirements, which we expect ourselves when we travel frequently with family and friends.
We wanted to create a space where our guests could enjoy time together with those they care about. that matter to them, while still having plenty of space and privacy. They will be able to spend time with their children playing, plan trips to the beauty of the Podyjí National Park, enjoy walks through historic Znojmo and . tasting sweets and delicacies from Znojmo's bistros and cafés.
We wanted to offer our guests a place where they can relax overlooking the beautiful nature, read books, taste our favorite local wines from our wine cellar, play board games inspired by Znojmo, cook together in the fully equipped kitchen or barbecue on the cosy terrace.
With this wish in mind, in 2023 we opened Dům Nad Řekou to our guests, for whom we try our best to prepare to make them feel at home.

In our wine shop In the living room and romantic cellar you will find a wide selection of wines from local winemakers, including Vinařství Špalekwhich has been awarded the Winery of the Year 2024 award. For wine lovers, this is an ideal opportunity to taste the best that Znojmo has to offer. And to make your stay in our accommodation even more enjoyable, we offer you the opportunity of a private tasting with popular Znojmo winemaker Jan Novák, the man behind the brand Element wine.
For moments of relaxation and fun we also have a library, where you can choose from a variety of titles, and Board games inspired by Znojmo, that will draw you into the atmosphere of the historic city. The vast Dům Nad Řekou is the ideal place for families, groups of friends and all those looking for comfort, elegance and space to relax in a unique historic town surrounded by beautiful countryside. This spacious home with modern amenities offers four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a multitude of activities to to meet the needs of every guest.
An Entrance hallway, a garage for your vehicle and a corridor leading to a romantic cellar, which offers the possibility of tasting local wines in complete privacy. Adrenaline lovers and your children can test their climbing skills on the climbing wall. The separate bedroom, offers a double bed and a private bathroom for maximum comfort and privacy.
A spacious living room with a dining room, which is connected to the kitchen. In this large room, which can serve as a lounge, you'll find a TV, a library, a radio, several board games inspired by our city, a wine cellar offering wines from Znojmo winemakers, a fireplace and two sofa beds. The whole room is air-conditioned and offers a magnificent view of the river Dyje and the opposite Kraví hora.
two air-conditioned bedrooms with private bathrooms. The large brown bedroom has a double bed, a smaller attached bed (ideal for a child) and a single bed. It has an attached balcony with a view to lower terrace, which is a quiet place to relax with a cup of tea, coffee or a glass of wine.
The second bedroom on this floor has a double bed and two twin beds that can be joined in spacious triple airport ideal for co-sleeping children of all ages and varying numbers. Children often use this bedroom as their own playroom as they will find a play area with lots of toys, children's books and a very popular ladder with swing and mattress.
We provide our guests with clean and fragrant bed linen, towels, toiletries and a hairdryer. And because you really we want to pamper you, there are also quality hair and body cosmetics that we have purchased for you. off including our beloved Nile.
The bedroom, located on this floor is equipped with a double bed and one bunk bed. I this bedroom has its own bathroom with toilet and bathtub.
This bedroom gives access to the magical terrace surrounded by the central city walls.
In the afternoon it offers pleasant shade and sitting on it, barbecuing and enjoying its peaceful atmosphere especially in the summer months is highly recommended.
On this floor there is also a smaller room with toilet, cleaning products, washing machine and dryer, which are at the full disposal of our guests.
